Review: Experts Day 2019

A successful event

“We were particularly pleased with the positive feedback from the participants,” emphasized HUP board member Dirk Westenberger. On 26 September, experts, managers and committed employees from the specialist departments gathered at HOLM (House of Logistics & Mobility) to discuss practical solutions, share knowledge and network. This year’s program mainly included topics from the sales manager’s regulars’ table and a lot of news. These included good reasons, tips and tricks for the new Paradise version P7 including the release cycles of P7 as well as the new supplement cockpit. The browser-based solution optimizes the capture and scheduling of insert and brochure orders. The status quo of the portal solutions PS.CallCenter and PS.Delivery was also presented. HUP board member Arno Nix summarized the HUP customer scrumbles in an exciting overview and gave a unique insight into the advantages of this method.

Among the so-called open HUP Scrumbles in which you can still participate at any time are PS.Delivery, PS.Content, comet ePA, HUP & alfa UNITY and the upcoming P7 Scrumble.

More important news and information
In the HUP think media area, the HUP Board made it clear that

  • P7 is available to all customers with current HUP maintenance contract
  • HUP WebAbo version 2.2 is delivered with a new look&feel
  • the cooperation with alfa media provides for the extension of the P7 installation base and some installations are in the starting blocks
  • Migration from [advantage] to P7 progressing well
  • PS.Content, the channel-neutral editor’s workstation from HUP that enables numerous publishers to restructure their editorial teams
  • the HUP NewsReader App will be extended with new functions, which will also make it much easier to place classified ads in categories

In the comet segment, the new development of the digital customer file (comet ePA) is progressing within the framework of an open scrumble. In addition, the customer base is growing, especially in the area of payroll services. This HUP comet service is suitable for companies that want to outsource payroll accounting efficiently and cost-consciously – either for a limited period of time or in principle. In addition, it is an optimal service for bridging personnel losses in the payroll office or accounting.

The free test phase of the reminder app my-buddy-app is drawing to a close. In autumn, the app will be charged. As a reminder: “my-buddy-app” reminds the Apple Watch wearers that their iPhone will not be there before it has finally stopped. It’s best to download HERE and save until the end of October.

The growing HUP full service area was also the topic of the Expert Day. The subscription CRM service, HUP publishing service, digitisation service, external editing and proofreading support publishers around the clock to optimise their production and business model.
